Dr. Becker explores how Jewish wisdom addresses today's environmental challenges. Drawing on Torah and the Talmud, as well as his work on water resources, climate change economics, and nature conservation in Israel, Dr. Becker examines how ancient principles offer powerful guidance for sustainability. This interactive session includes discussion and Q&A. All are welcome to this thought-provoking conversation about our sacred obligation to protect creation Dr. Becker is an environmental and natural-resource economist specializing in water economics, environmental valuation, and cost–benefit analysis of public policies. He is currently on sabbatical at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF). He is a faculty member at Tel-Hai College in the Galilee, Israel.
