This is a service for kids led by our amazing Teens. There will be games, upbeat prayers, an explanation about the Parsha (Torah portion) for the week, and kids helping to lead certain prayers along with the Teens. We will head back to the main service to help lead Ein Keloheinu and other concluding prayers then enjoy an elevated kiddush together afterward. You may attend one or all! Join the JCC as we honor Holocaust Remembrance Day. 'Where is Anne Frank?' follows the journey of Kitty, the imaginary friend to whom Anne Frank dedicated her diary. A fiery teenager, Kitty wakes up in the near future in Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam and embarks on a journey to find Anne, who she believes is still alive, in today's Europe. While the young girl is shocked by the modern world, she also comes across Anne's legacy. (1 hr 39 min. Appropriate for ages 9+)

Join the JCC as we honor Holocaust Remembrance Day. In Reckonings, the Award-winning filmmaker Roberta Grossman reveals the untold story of the intense negotiations between Jewish and German leaders that led to the 1952 Luxembourg Agreement. Charged with negotiating reparations for the largest mass genocide in history at a time when Holocaust survivors urgently needed help, they met in a hidden castle near The Hague under the constant threat of violence. Grossman’s riveting documentary brings to life the fraught meetings that led to the official acknowledgement of the genocide and the proposal seen as the first step towards healing. (1 hr 14 min) |
