Join Dr. Erica Olson-Bang for a three-part series that will look at biblical women in conversation with each other, examining three pairs of women who appear together in the bible, whether as friends, allies, or rivals. Attendees will “listen in” on their conversations, as well as have their own conversations about these women and their relationships. Additionally, Erica and attendees will discuss how these women are depicted in the bible, how religious traditions and scholars have remembered them, and what we can learn from them as modern readers of the bible. Feel free to come for all three conversations, or just to the ones that spark your interest! October 12 - Sarah & Hagar November 9 - Deborah & Yael November 23 - Ruth & Naomi This three-part series is presented in partnership by Congregation Beth Sholom-Chevra Shas, the JCC of Syracuse & Temple Concord |
