| In honor of Earth Day, join the JCC for a lecture by Professor Nir Becker who is currently teaching at ESF while on sabbatical from Tel-Hai College in Israel. Professor Becker will discuss the urban heat island in Tel Aviv vs. Syracuse, how shade saves energy and lives, the hidden economics: how to quantify benefits and the role of municipalities and citizens. You will also get to engage in a discussion of “What does adaptation look like on my street?” |
