Conversations with Biblical Women: Ruth & Naomi
Temple Concord 450 Kimber Rd, Syracuse, NY, United StatesJoin Dr. Erica Olson-Bang for a three-part series that will look at biblical women in conversation with each other, examining three pairs of women who appear together in the bible, whether as friends, allies, or rivals. Attendees will “listen in” on their conversations, as well as have their own conversations about these women and their relationships. Additionally, Erica and attendees will discuss how these women are depicted in the bible, how religious traditions and scholars have remembered them, and what we can learn from them as modern readers of the bible. WWII History: The Vel d’Hiv Round-Up

Learn about the detailed planning by the Vichy Government behind the round-up and detainment of more than 13,000 French Jews in 1942 and how the French government and people have since dealt with the pain and shame of this traumatic event.
