In the span of twenty-four hours, the country moves from collective mourning to celebration, a transition so intense that it can feel almost disorienting. Both days are marked by distinct rituals and ceremonies, religious and secular alike. This class will explore how they are observed and what this transition reveals about Israeli culture and society.
