• Conversations with Biblical Women: Deborah & Hagar

Congregation Beth Sholom-Chevas Shas 18 Patsy Lane, Jamesville, NY, United States

Join Dr. Erica Olson-Bang for a three-part series that will look at biblical women in conversation with each other, examining three pairs of women who appear together in the bible, whether as friends, allies, or rivals. Attendees will “listen in” on their conversations, as well as have their own conversations about these women and their relationships. Additionally, Erica and attendees will discuss how these women are depicted in the bible, how religious traditions and scholars have remembered them, and what we can learn from them as modern readers of the bible. Feel free to come for all three conversations, or just to the ones that spark your interest! Oct 12 - Sarah & Hagar Nov 9 - Deborah & Yael Nov 23 - Ruth & Naomi This three-part series is presented in partnership by Congregation Beth Sholom-Chevra Sha, the JCC of Syracuse and Temple Concord
