In the 1979 comedy The Frisco Kid Gene Wilder plays Rabbi Avram Belinski, a newly graduated rabbi on his way from Poland to San Francisco. Having graduated at the bottom of his class, Rabbi Bellinski isn’t cut out to make this journey alone and through a series of mishaps ends up befriending a train robber (Harrison Ford) who agrees to get him to San Francisco.
